A workman always blames his tools.

The image above shows a machine that I have absolutely no idea how to operate. Fantastic news, especially when last night I was faced with the task of DJing with it (after about 8 beers). No problem. Having only played around on Denzi's proper gear i.e. Pioneer CDJ 1000s, cueing up tracks and setting bpms seemed pretty much impossible on this piece of junk. Thus, my anticipated set comprised of dubstep for only ten or so minutes. Dubstep? Yes, you heard me right. A genre I'm not particularly fond of, but due to a constant, daily bombardment of bullying from the usual suspects, I buckled to peer pressure (Ashe Palmer style) and was forced to poison the speakers and ruin the night. Biggest personal highlight was when, whilst pressing as many buttons on the machine as physically possible, I managed to loop a 2 second segment of 'Cockney Thug' over and over and over again. However, the news is: I've been converted and I really rather enjoyed it. Subsequently, I've put together a shortish mix of (what would have been) the first half an hour of my set last night, comprised entirely of only the finest, hand picked, organic, be good to yourself rub-a-dub-dubstep. Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it:

McMess - Hackney

The Streets - Blinded By The Lights (Nero Remix)
Nero - This Way
Chase & Status - Eastern Jam
